Alone, alone

On the 3rd we went to the circus "le grand cirque". It was our last night together and the show was really great. It was all acrobatics and they had all kinds of costumes which looked great. We could just wonder about the strength they must have.. it just looked so easy for them to climb up poles only with their hands. Unfortunately we were not allowed to take any pictures but here are some from the bar we went to afterwards:

When we came back we met Florian (a guy from Germany)on the porch. He had a couple of poi with him and Miri asked him if she could play them too. So Kim, Miri and Florian ended up playing poi for about 2 hours, I think. And they all learned something new!

Another day in Auckland. Kim, Janina and Lene left us yesterday...

and I have to say we were pretty busy since. Miri translated her CV into english and then we went into town to apply for jobs in bars and restaurants. I really can't tell if she has a chance or not. Everybody was friendly and helpful but in the end we didn't think that they need anyone right now. Except for one restaurant. They were hiring at the moment and so the guy we talked to asked if Miri could come in the next day (today) and try out for the job for a couple of hours. So we did. We had a great time and for some reason Miri enjoys serving a lot.. I don't.. but I don't need a job.. luckily ;-) so we'll see how that works out because she can't stay for very long in Auckland and that was one of the things Mark (the guy at the restaurant) didn't like too much.

After we got done with that we went to bastion point. Tim (the guy who gave Kim and Miri a ride back the other day) told them that you could see many sailboats from up there and he was right! We could even see one of the races of the Louis Vuitton Pacific Series! Miri tried to talk to some people about the race because we didn't know much about it but we had the impression that he didn't really want to talk about it (to us.. probably because he thaught we didn't have a clue what was going on..) so here's some pictures of that:
