Hablo español!!!

Argentina here we come! What, you don't believe this??? well we're here!
Miris dad has a friend here in Buenos Aires and he offered us to pick us up from the airport. It was great to have someone there waiting for us and giving us advice on what to do and where to go! Guillermo even let us stay at his house for a couple of nights. But anyway.. we were pretty done after the long flight and Miri couldn't sleep that well (I actually didn't hav a problem but I told her that I was pretty exhausted too to make her feel better..). But Guillermo wanted to show us the city and of course Miri wanted to take the great offer so we drove around town for an hour and then went to San Telmo which is supposed to be a quite busy place on the weekends but because it was a monday there were only a few people.

Guillermo

Dancing on the square..

So up to La Boca, another part of the city.. supposed to be quite dangerous by yourself at night but we were with Guillermo and it was still light outside so no problem ;-) It's a really colorful but poor place. All the houses are painted in different colors (the ones that were left from painting the big boats) and there is a lot of shows of Tango dancing going on! It's so different though from the Tango we dance!

Many people were in La Boca
("La boca" means "the mouth"..it just sounds prettier..)

Miri and the colorful houses

MANY people!

A little Tango show.. they were everywhere and it looked so great!

Miri got tired pretty early and so at around 7:30 we looked for something to eat (that is really early for argenitnians!!! They don't eat dinner till about 9 or 10!) So yeah.. it was quite hard to find a place with Empenadas.. and after this successful catch we had dinner and called it a the day..
The next day Miri and I went (by ourselves) to the spanish class and afterwards back to Guillermos place because we stayed another night there.. and on wednesday in the morning we packed our stuff together like many times before and took the underground (subte) to the house of our hostfamily. And this is our room:
It's so comfortable and so big!

..and the bathroom..
at first Miri and I couldn't find the shower^^
..can you?
