Girls gone wild!

So this is so much fun!
Since the three girls have arrived here we went into the city every day (well there have only been 2 days so far..) ;-) We just wandered around the port a little bit and got some icecream (Miri and I took a kids-size together which was huge! ..and expensive). Afterwards we checked at the visitor center what we could do while we are staying here and the first thing we did was get tickets for "le grand cirque"! Janina was all over it! And of course we others are excited too! And the best thing is: I get in freeeeeeeee! Yeah!

Before we hedded back to the Hostel we bought tons of food for the next days.. I have to say we did pretty good and at night we had an awesome dinner! Yammi!

Grocery shopping!!!
We got some gooooood wraps to try!

The first time we went on Mount Eden with the other 3 girls

Miri and me have been up to Mount Eden now 4 times. It's just such a great view! And last night it was just Kim, Miri and me. It was all dark but we could still see a little (nobody tripped!!!) and when we were on the very top we had the whole thing for our selves. Nobody else, except for a little hedgedog. It was really cute. I made some pictures of the two girls, here they are:

Auckland, here we come!

Watch out Auckland! Miri's on the move! And she's got 3 of her friends with her..
It's true, I'm not lying! We arrived on the 28th early in the morning in Auckland. After we had to pass many checkpoints at the airport which was really confusing we finally went on a bus to the Hostel. It's called the Yaping House but it was about 10 Minutes to walk from the busstation and so we had to walk the whole way with this heavy backpack. Well actually it was Miri who had to carry it.. and me. It was just too early in the morning for me to take such a long walk. Instead I focused on the beautiful little houses and the awesome smells from all the flowers in the gardens. Amaying! I've never smelled something like that.. the air was still fresh and a little bit chilly (but not cold) from the night.
When we arrived at the Hostel we checked in and went straight into bed. We were so tired from the long flight: too many turbulences, too many movies and too little sleep! After we've recovererd from all that we got ready to discover the town. First we had to get some food.. man, I was starving! So we went to the supermarket and bought enough stuff that we could survive until the next day. I had the awesome Idea to walk up to Mount Eden which is only 15 minutes (staight up!) from the Hostel and I have to say: it was terrific! The view over the whole city.. all the way to the sea! And of course Miri was fascinated by all the sailboats we could see from up there. So we had a little picknick on top of the Mount. And that was about all that we did that day. Miri talked to some people at the Hostel and then we went to bed.. finally.
The next day was pretty lazy. We went up to Mount Eden again to hang out there and Miri wanted to learn some spanish because she hadn't done it for a while... and somebody has to be able to get us through in Argentina so I was okay with it. Still, it was pretty boring and I complained a lot so we made some pictures which was fun!

Look at the cool city in the background! (I know it's kinda small..)

At night we finally met Kim, Janina and Lene. The three girls have been travelling through New Zealand together for 2 weeks and now they just came back to Auckland to meet us and then fly back to Australia on the 4th. It was like they just saw each other the week before. That was nice to see them having so much fun together.

First stop: Los Angeles!

After some tears and a long flight we finally arrived in LA. What a great city! It was already night and so we tried to figure out how to get to the hostel. There was supposed to be a shuttle C to the bus terminal but we couldn't find it. So we ended up asking one of the busdrivers. He was really nice and he told us that he could drop us off there too. So we stayed on the bus, talked a little to the busdriver and enjoied the view of the city. When we were at a parking lot the busdriver asked us if he could give us a ride to the hostel in his car. IN HIS CAR?! well what can I say.. even though I told her it wasn't a good idea to go with that stranger (Alexandra had told me NOT to go with any stranger!), Miri had her own head and accepted his offer. Well he was nice, I have to admit that but I was glad when we finally arrived at the hostel. It was right at the beach but we were way too tired to go and look so we went inside and checked in. The girl at the desk was actually from Germany. She was really nice and helped us to bring all that stuff upstairs. I have to say it was a lovely place!

After we tried to call Miris mom with a calling card which just would not work (stupid cards!) and talking to some of the other people (Jaren from the philippiens: living and working at the hostel and Elad from Israel: travelling) we really had to go to bed (it was already 5:30 in the morning in Germany.. we were tired, I can tell you!)

That's Jaren and me!

So the next day we wandered around Hermosa Beach which is the part of LA the hostel is at. We went to a sea lab whith a FREE tour where we could touch sea-animal.. well I didn't! Those creatures are way too scary! And there were even baby-sharks!
But of course Miri couldn't hold herself back.. what can I say..

This is the guide of the little tour at the sea lab.. I still can't believe Miri touched all these fishies..

This is me at the beach. It's so beautiful and warm!

Well the rest of the day we hung out with Jaren, Elad and some other people whose names I forgot.. we cooked together, learned some japanese (not really) and watched kung fu panda. That was fun! The next day we slept in and basically did nothing but look up stuff online and wait for the bus to come that would take us to the airport. ..and then we were at the airport... again. How boring is that? You're supposed to be ther 3 hours (!!!) early and then you end up having nothing to do.. well Miri talked to her sister Rebekka who is in Spokane, Washington right now.. but what about me?

Can you find me?
